The idea of Mangrove Forest Camp was envisioned by Sayan Sinha Roy, an award-winning wildlife filmmaker whose passion is documenting people and wild places. Years of Sundarban wildlife photography inspired a camp built for immersive storytelling, Royal Bengal Tiger photography expeditions, and authentic cultural experiences — not mass tourism.
With deep forest knowledge and a focus on coexistence, Sayan designed Sundarban Mangrove Forest Camp for comfort, expert-guided Sundarban wildlife safari, and meaningful nature encounters. Our purpose-built expedition vessel, Sundarban Safari II, is specially designed for wildlife photography and filmmaking — a stable shooting platform, experienced crew, and professional field support. It has been used for projects involving BBC, National Geographic, and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
In 2026, our 6-cylinder expedition vessel represented the Forest Department during Aranya Saptah, travelling extensively throughout the Sundarbans to promote mangrove conservation and public awareness.
We provided logistical support for the Bengali feature film Saptadingar Guptodhon, an SVF Entertainment production, during its filming in the Sundarbans.
